Thouvenin:
Elegant, Historic, Spacious & Fun...
Thouvenin sits in landscaped grounds with shaded areas under the pine tree, a full size boules court surrounded by a lavender and rosemary hedge.
Its terrace makes a perfect dining area, overlooking the pool and adjacent to the barbecue. It also contains a games area with table-tennis.
The pool is solar panel heated and generally available from April to October. It is fully fenced and was fully refurbished in 2019.
It has sunbathing terraces and an ample supply of sun beds.
Thouvenin gets its name from a 100-year-old photograph, taken when it was Hotel Thouvenin, in the days when the railway used to come to Migron. Before that, it was a typical Charentaise farmhouse dating back to the 18th century.
Whilst the railway has long since gone and quiet has returned to the village, the mezannine area in the house has been converted into a private café/bar, capturing the feel of a stylish, but lost era.
It's fully undercover and accessible from the ground and first floors and its louvred wall provides dappled shade even at the height of summer.
